In this sculpture, I was experimenting with the headdress that has given such riches to sculpture (Egypt, Maya). Since such headgear is lacking today, I am trying to do it symbolically: instead of a real headdress, the symbol of a thought. The face was inspired by the head of a beautiful American Indian woman seen on a page of the New York Times. |
